This year I am planning on smoked salmon and bagels with bucks fizz for breakfast, then we are having Prawn Cocktail or roasted squash soup for starters, then turkey, roast potatoes, pigs in blankets, stuffing, chantenay carrots, roasted parsnips in maple syrup, Brussel sprouts, peas, cauliflower, brocolli, french beans, yorkshire pudding with gravy and then Christmas pudding and brandy sauce for pudding and then a cheese board and port....yummers

Then Boxing day is gammon, turkey, jacket potatoes, baked beans and bubble and squeak...as usual lol

So what is on the menu at your house?

Croissants, butter and jam, with fresh orange juice for breakfast. Roast beef, turkey, gammon, roast pots, broccoli, cauli cheese, carrots, pigs in blankets, stuffing, gravy, xmas pudding and custard. Tea will be cold meat sandwich for anyone still hungry.

Boxing Day, buffet at relatives ugh.

Hope to still eat within maintenance cals if I can, if not, lots of running first thing in the mornings.

    Same as every year!
on the 24th (the day we open presents in Iceland): Turkey, caramel potatoes, stuffing and such.
What I love about the 24th though is that my mom boils hangikjöt (smoked lamb) to use for the 25th before the turkey so the apartment smells really good all morning.
Then on the 25th: smoked lamb and potato breads to put it on.
  • I am actually having my "cheat" meal today, some pizza. Haven't had fast food pizza in probably a year.

Xmas eve having stuffed fish. Sounds weird but I hope it is good.

Xmas will be the traditional turkey and fixin's. Going to stay light on the boxed chocolate and baked goods but I am not too worried about it.

On Christmas I'm making beef tenderloin with a roasted shallot sauce, mashed potatoes, green beans and a salad. For dessert we are having chocolate melting cake (the Carnival cruise dessert). I'll eat everything but watch my portions and go for a long run in the morning.

My sister's house on Christmas Eve will be sushi, ham, cheesy potatoes, baked beans, and salad. For that feast I'll be doing two hours of cardio - spin class and then kickboxing .
