I moved down to Florida back in July. This will be the first Christmas here. Feeling kinda lonely right now. Anyone else far from home?

    I moved to NY 2 years ago and I am still lonely! But I indulge in Funny Christmas movies to make the feeling and time past! We can keep each other company (Via web) :flowerforyou:

    you should get out sometimes and meet new people and i heard that in ny there is stuff that they do for christmas in the citty

    well. as it turns out, i will be alone...just ended a relationship, and my daughter will be at her friends house.

    I will be with family Christmas Eve, but alone Christmas day. My husband and I are curently split up and although we are now officially "dating" again (off and on for 10 years like this!), he will be with his family on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day............ My kids (grown) will be doing their own things.

    If you guys to do anything for this holiday what would it be??

    I think if I had the money I'd take me and my daughter to Disney Land or a Disney Cruise :)

    I've spent many Christmas' alone, I got lucky this year, my parents are sending my son and I home for Christmas. This one would have been VERY hard for me esp with my husband over seas, the other years he just had to work.

    Where in Florida are you? I will have family around...... I cant imagine not having them here.

    I live outside of Tampa.

    I moved here for a job in July. Ever since I've moved here its been one thing after another.

    I think after my contract is up I'll be going back home.

    I want my daughter to have family around. And the family I have here isnt very helpful. Sooooo it sucks.

    I try hard to stay positive. But le sigh. The holiday its hard.

    Well, thats a thought. I'm horrible at that though :) I barely know how to use my phone.

    Do you use it with your husband over seas? I tried it with my mom once and it was a mess. For some reason she could hear me but I couldnt hear her.....it just got frustrating and I gave up! :)

    I'm alone this year:( My husband's in Afghanistan and my family lives in PA, I live in MD. 7 hour drive but I'm not doing it this year. But thankfully I won't be entirely alone. I have amazing friends:) Christmas Eve at one friends, then Christmas day/night with another. But it's not the same with my husband being gone. Only 5 months left of the year long deployment.
