This is going to sound silly to those of you who can crank out like 20+ pullups in a row, but it's huge for me...

I DID IT. I did 6 unassisted pullups in a row!

I was so out of shape when I started back in April. My grip and my biceps were my weakest points. I've been doing lots of high row/ lat pulldowns at near-body weight lately, but actual unassisted pullups? I've been avoiding it because I was afraid I'd fall off in the middle of the first rep. I feel much better now that I've tried it.

I'm hoping to work my way up to one-arm pull-up some day... That's one of my ultimate goals!

Wow! I can't even do one. I was beginning to think you either have the "pull up genes" or you don't. Congrats!

Thank you for the comments  If I can do this, anyone can! Like I said, I had no grip/ bicep strength when I started out. I did have a decent back, thanks to all those years of walking large dogs that liked to pull. But it wasn't until I started doing heavy rows that I started getting somewhere.

Pull up genes! LOL The only 'genes' I can pull up are the ones I wear. Forget about pulling anything else up! LOL
  • LOL! That's awesome! WTG!
