Angel Food Toasties
1 Box Angel Food Cake Mix
1/3 Cup Water
1 1/2 Ounces Sliced Almonds
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, combine the cake mix and water at low speed until moistened. Beat 2 minutes at high speed and then fold in the almonds. Spray a 9" square pan with non-stick cooking spray. Pour the angel food mixture into the pan and bake for 15-20 minutes or until the crust is golden brown. Allow to cool completely. Remove the cake from the pan. With a serrated knife, cut the cake into 3X1" bars. Place the bars 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets with the cut side of the bars down. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes or until the bottoms begin to brown. Turn so that the other cut side is down. Bake for an additional 5-8 minutes or until the cut sides are brown. Immediately remove from cookie sheets and cool completely. Store in a covered container.
