Total Gym - Feedback?

Does anyone have the Total Gym XLS (you know, the one on all the infomercials we will be seeing for the next month, along with the banner ads)?

I run, I have P90X and Chalean Extreme, along with a gym membership -- I like variety and thought this might be a good addition to the "office/gym" room for my boyfriend and I for those days that I am short on time. Just curious about the quality -- especially since its around 1,000. Feedback? Give me the good, the bad, and the ugly, or the success, the beauty, and praise...

I suspect the quality is acceptable, but I think that anyone who is reasonably fit will quickly outgrow the Total Gym.

The device was originally used in Physical Therapy centers and it's great in that environment. I just don't think the resistance levels are high enough to progressively challenge a healthy, fit person. The compound movements can actually work against you in that you cannot set the appropriate resistance for each area that is being worked.

I just think this is a device that is overpriced and is inappropriately recommended to a population (e.g. healthy, fit adults) that it was not designed for.

For the most part, the buff folks they show working out on the TG didn't get to look that way using the machine.
