When I joined MFP in July 2010, I weighed 203 pounds and was "sausaging" myself into size 16 jeans (you know what I'm talking about! I should have gone up to a size 18, but I refused to buy clothes in that size). I'm 5'7" and currently weigh 175.5 pounds. I'm now wearing size 12 jeans and a large shirt.

When I lost a lot of weight in 2006, I got down to 148-ish and was wearing a size 8 jeans and a medium shirt. That's the size I want to get back to. I didn't realize how great I looked then because I have been overweight my entire life and didn't have the proper perspective/mindset (I still felt like a fat person). In retrospect (now that I'm losing the weight I regained), I love how I looked then. I only have a few pictures of myself during the brief time I was thin and healthy, but they are very motivating.

I think it's really interesting how different everyone's stats are. I guess a lot depends on bone structure and where/how one carries one's weight. I don't want to get below 148-150. I think I would look too thin. I was running and had toned muscles, so I think I looked the best I ever have when I was that size.

Good luck to all of you! :)

I'm 5'8" and a little less than 135 pounds. I'm about a 4 at most stores and a 2 at American Eagle. I ordered a 26 in William Rast jeans, they use European sizing for women.

    Hope that helps. =]

I'm 5'10" and currently weight 173 lbs. I'm still wearing my now loose size 16 jeans. I have discovered I can pull them down without unzipping them though! I don't know what the deal is, but even at my lightest weight of 150, I could still only wear a size 12! What gives?!

I am 5'8" and currently 155 lbs. I wear a size 8 and they are starting to get too loose. I have a lot of muscle and so my goal weight is 137-147 somewhere in there. I Just want to get into my 4-6 size jeans again! :) At 147 I will be in size 6 and at 137 I will be able to wear my size 4 jeans. I will do it! :) I should mention losing body fat % is my main goal as the scale is just a number.

thanks to vanity sizing I didn't really realize how much weight I was putting on.
In 1979 @ 125 lbs I was a 13/14. My weight kept creeping at the same rate as vanity sizing increased
So my high weight was 175 and I was still a SIZE 14

Now, I'm 143 and on the cusp between SIZE 8 and SIZE 6.... (but I still have 30 year-old SIZE 13/14 pants in the closet that I can't yet fit into)

Wow that is CRAZY about the sizing in the 70's/80's. Really puts it into perspective

    Height - 5'7" Weight- 115lb UK size 8-10
I should be really happy with that, but I'm not. Well, to be specific, I think I would prefer to be more toned, and for that I'd probably have to gain weight in muscle mass...?

    Height 5"7 Weight 79KG - wear UK size 14 average (have clothes in 10, 12, 16, s, m, l, XL)

Tend to go by specific clothes but am aiming for 63KG/ but more importantly, UK size 10 in jeans (the same jeans I wear)
