Since Friday I've been eating EVERYTHING. I'm restarting my healthy eating tomorrow but I still cant help but feel like i could've made much smarter choices during my holiday eating spree. My stomach is achy, I'm bloated, and I feel like my 30 day progress has been pushed back to day 1. Sorry, needed to vent

We all make mistakes but you have taken the first step to change the situation. You admitted that you went overboard this week and now you are ready to get back on track. Drink plenty of water tonight and this week to help flush out your system. Realize that a few bad days may not do as much damage as you think and your body may actually thank you since you are giving it something that it is use to. For me, there are times when I revert back to old habits and eat whatever I want and I still lose weight after have been stalled for a few weeks.
Good luck on this journey.0 -
Agreed. It is very easy to do at this time of year - learn fom it and move on!0

Don't stress - your body can bounce back fast once its already been out through its paces in a diet. Friday to Monday isn't such an extended period that you'll struggle to bounce back from - plus its Christmas, it's a time to enjoy the good things in life
No permanent harm done, chin up.0 -
You can't change the fact that you ate what you did. You can only learn from it and move on. Start NOW; don't wait till tomorrow!!! You can do..you can get back on track....it IS Christmas........so, just pick yourself up and keep on going forward!!!
Good luck!!0 -
Realizing that u could have done better is the first step...now u just have to plan better...know that everyone slips but we r al in control of when, how,n why..so its a conscious choice to.stay or go.off plan...and u have to deal with whatever those consequences may be...so will u learn your lesson this time or will u slip up again because its a Holiday..life happens but there will always be something standing in the way of the healthier u..u have to choose to jump over that hurdle...and sometimes in jumping u .may fall...then u just get back up and keep jumping...just keep swimming just keep swimming...u got this put on your big girl undies and smash the scale this week!!;)0

one of my friends the other day posted something brilliant. I wish I could remember who it was and exactly what they said but it was basically this:
It's not about what you eat between Christmas and New Years. Its what happens between New Years and Christmas that counts!
Happy Holidays!0 -
you will be fine! when i screw up for a couple of days instead of meals i try to up my exercise or double what i have been doing to make up for it if time allows. extra half hr here or there adds up to burn off all that extra excess0

We have all fell off the scale. But tomorrow is another day, to a new beginning. Don't beat yourself up over it, just look at all that you have accomplish....0

Christmas only comes once a year; enjoy yourself! You have 364 other days of the year to make healthy choices.0

Yup, this! I planned to splurge and enjoy the two days of Christmas spread over both sides of the family. And I savored every morsel. Also got an extra intense workout in to give me more breathing room calorie-wise. Will be back on plan starting....well, now. No harm, no foul.
I think the worst thing is considering this a diet where we have to be perfect. If it's a lifestyle change, it means that you will sometimes splurge and you will sometimes be on plan. As long as you're on plan 90% of the time, you will be fine. Heck, trim and fit people, even the dreaded skinny-fat folks, all splurge once in awhile, too.0 -
thanks everyone!!! Gotta love MFP folks
today I'm weighing in just to see what I've done to my goal these last 3 days, however, I am using my FREE PASS. ( I'm in a weight loss competition at work). Today is a new day......I woke up ravenous this morning, which is pretty unusual, however, given that I've been overloading my body with junk, it's to be expected. Time to take control.0 -
Each day is a new one for a reason. Take what you have learned and apply it. Now get busy and #NoExcuses!! Still proud of you!!0
