Okay, so over Christmas, according to my scales I have gained about 1.5kgs. However, my body fat percentage has stayed the same (31.1% -yes bad I know, but Im working on it).
Does this mean that my weight gain on the scales is either water/muscle/food still in digestive system?
As opposed to a fat gain?

Yes, probably. You'll have eaten lots of hidden sodium, and your insides have probably not emptied themselves yet. drink loads of water, get back to the healthy stuff, add a nit of exercise and normal service will resume quite quickly :-))0

It can very easily be water. Try drinking plenty of water to help flush out all the sodium from the holidays. I'll be doing the same thing today-my poor hands are so swollen, but the food was fantastic!0

Unless you had an extra 11550 calories over the amount of calories it would take to maintain your current weight, the majority of it is water weight and undigested food.
If you did eat an extra 11550 calories, my hat goes off to you! :drinker:0 -
I was actually pretty proud of my effort over christmas
Will be flushing with water tonight, and working up a sweat tomorrow

yep just water and food. try not to weigh yourself but once a week because of fluctuations0

Take the total body weight you use to be and multiply it by 0.311 to get the kg of fat previously. Now take the total body weight you are now and multiply it by 0.311 and get the kg of fat you are now so that you can see it as a weight in fat gained. I'm sure you'll see is it a little bit of fat, but not much. If you gained a little fat, it wasn't much, maybe 3000-3500 calories worth.0

Heya Lara,
They reackon the average weight gain over christmas is actually only half a kg. 0.5kgs matey. Dont worry about the scales for now. It will seem to be a killer but you have to consider the liquids as well as foods and the over all gain will only be a little amount. I feel great about that info even though I feel about 2kgs heavier but will not weigh myself until the end of the week so I know. It will work out sweetie. You have been doing so much matey, keep with the movement and you will balance out huh! cheers. Lou0
