Healthy food choices - what motivates you?

I need new motivation when it comes to diet. I'm doing well with exercising - 6x a week for the past 8.5 months. And my food was pretty good up until Thanksgiving. Since then I've lost my willpower and motivation to make good food choices and to stay at or under my daily calories. I need to make a change before I undo all my hard work.

So what helps you to just say "NO" to that cookie, pie or cheeseburger?
How do you reward yourself for meeting your daily or weekly or monthly goals in the food department?

THANKS!

I struggle in this department, but I just keep telling myself how much BETTER I feel when I don't eat sugar/carb loaded junk!! I get out of bed easier, get through my workouts with more energy, not as irritable with my family, and so on.......not to mention look and feel better in my clothes :) Sugar really bloats my belly!!!! I become very addicted to it this time of year, but after Christmas it is OUT!!
We will get through this, bikini season coming right up baby!!!!!!!

At the bottom of your food tab is a little "food notes" box. Use that box at the end of the day to reflect on how the foods you ate made you feel. Did you feel uncomfortable after overeating? Do you need to eat half of a portion next time instead of a full portion? Could you have packaged part up and eaten it tomorrow? Did a certain food make you feel really bloated, gassy, depressed, give you a stomach ache, head ache, or joint pain? Are you heading to bed feeling Uggh instead of good? Did you eat more because of stress or depression? Or, on the other hand, did the foods that you ate make you feel good? Did you have a day when you felt light and energetic? Do you feel like you "nailed it" today?

The more you reflect on how the foods you ate affected you positively or negatively, the easier it will be to make food choices that make you feel better.
