I was reading all the post about when to weight yourself and as said same time in morning before you eat anything. I followed it and now I have question. I use to wake up at 10 on saturday so it was consistent. Now this saturday I woke up at 9:30ish and weighed, number is 113.4. but when I weighed myself with same cloths at 10 without eating anything it was 115.8. Which one is correct. I don't want to fool myself so I want to know. Thanks in advance.

your weight fluctuates all day every day by as much as 5 pounds and sometimes more

    DONT worry about it

weigh once a week or go insane

I don't see how a 1/2 hour would make that much of a difference. It's probably the way you stood on the scale. If you woke up at 10 and it said 113.4 you wouldn't question it and weigh yourself again....so why do that today? Just go with the first answer. If you don't want to do that go with 114. For future reference, it doesn't have to be the EXACT time every time you way.....

I think the circumstances, in this case weighing as soon as you get up, is more accurate than actual time of day. Like Dave says, weighing once a week is better than daily-altho I know it's tempting, and sometimes provides a good nudge if we go up, to weigh daily!

thanks guys. I don't weigh everyday. it is on every saturday. I was confused with the time. so I thought to weigh again on the time at 10 o'clock. I was reading posts and all were saying same time after you wake up. so I was confused whether I should go with 10 o'clock weight or 9:30.

Don't spend to much time wondering about the " real " number ... truth is our bodies retain water and other fluids that will cause fluctuations within minutes. Weigh yourself first thing in the morning and don't get back on the scale ! Also, lose the clothes ! LOL ! :)
