The holidays have definitely won this battle...I ate crazy bad & had almost no portion control either. Normally this is where I give up the fight & start back-sliding. This is where I say "I give up", or "I'll start fresh next year", or "let me cheat a little longer & get it out of my system." Well, not this time. Starting tomorrow I am back on this bandwagon. I don't hate myself, I don't feel defeated, and I don't need anymore time to decide to start eating better & getting active again. Something inside me has changed...I honestly feel different losing weight this time & truly understand this is a lifestyle change. A marathon, not a sprint to my final "finish line". The holidays may have won this battle but I WILL win the war. Good luck to any of my MFP friends who may have had a few weak holiday moments. Everyday is an opportunity to make change for ourselves.
