DO NOT GIVE UP.
I'm not going to lie, a majority of you will not make it. You will quit and ring that bell. That is just sad sad reality. Those of you that stick to it, will be rewarded! Welcome to the site, pull up a seat. Not too long though! You need to be working it soldier! This isn't your momma's fat loss site..(Well actually it might be!) You will sweat, you will be hungry, but stick with it and you will be victorious!
MOVE IT! MOVE IT! MOVE IT!

You'll have to bump this up on Sunday, no sane person is going to start out before New Year's Eve and miss out on all the drinking!0

Fantastic post!
And if I might add for the newcomers:
* A pound is a pound, muscle or fat.
* This is not the place for fad diets, we lose weight through calorie counting and exercise 'round these parts.
* If you would like to discuss religion, politics, adult topics or just argue we have groups for that.
* Stick with it, log everything you eat and get moving and this will work. Promise.
* If you'd like to lose weight by only eating 500 calories a day and taking pregnant lady pee...start a thread! Not ALL arguing happens in the debate group after all... we're starving and we have aggression to let out.0 -
WOW, it's funny becasue it's true! As far as sanity? Well I think we all have to be a little bit off. As Pink says, "Raise your glass if you are wrong in all the right ways!" Just make sure that glass is full of water or maybe a MGD 64 on a really rough day! :drinker:0

Yes, but I'd love for more of them to stick around. The biggest thing is people try to lose before they are truly ready! When you are ready, nothing can stop you!0 -

Seriously. Our gym is packed the months of January and February (well, the first half of February).0 -

Hmmm. You left out spelling/grammar police, eating exercise calories back, and how to use the search function.0 -

Speaking of groups, there is some great information to be found in this one:

Chances are if you have a question, it has been asked. Take the time to read the push pinned "sticky" topics at the beginning of each forum sub group. for example (and a great place to start ) these are from "General Diet and Weight loss Help":
