I'd suggest finding another vet - if you live in a big city, there should be tons!

As much fun as it is to hear medical issues online, I wouldn't mess around with my pet's health! If there's blood, they need a vet. If there's a lump, they need a vet. If they are coughing, throwing up, can't stop using the bathroom, or at something bad, they need a vet.

If nothing else, just call a vet and tell them the issue and they can guide you...
