Hi all,
So DH and I are vising Vegas next week - for 8 days (eek what was I thinking?!) and I need some help for food suggestions.
The place we're staying has a kitchen area .... but we love good food and there are a lot of options around!
Since it's winter time, it'll be colder walking around and we can't sit by the pool so food draws me forth.
What are some cheaper, good suggestions for breakfast and lunch especially? Are buffets worth it? (Or do you feel sick and mad that you ate a million calories the next day)
I did read the previous threads, but they seemed to be in warmer times! Also, we plan on renting a car for 2 days - would it behoove us to get it longer? We're going to the Hoover Dam, Valley of Fire (1 day), and Red Rocks (day 2). Any breakfast tips for those drives?

I would avoid the buffets. Personally, I dont have the will power to not eat everything that looks good. I would order off a menu, that way you can keep it on the low-cal side. Also, there are tons of little coffee shops around with bagels or soups to keep you satisfied. I cant think of any specific place that was healthy, but there is definately no lack of restaurants there.
If you can, bring along your own breakfast items and eat in your room. Have a small lunch (salad, soup, etc), and then use your calories to have a nice dinner. Plus, you'll be walking A LOT, so dont forget to add in those calories too.. you might even walk enough to have a yummy dessert.0 -
While I did not even want to think about the calories I was eating at the buffets, I found the “Buffet of Buffets” to be a good deal. It is like $45 for 24 hours, but keep in mind that the buffets close from 10:00pm until the next morning. The pass is good at a lot of the strip hotels like Caesars, Paris, and Harrahs. So, my advice if you are thinking about doing the buffet, would be to sign up for the 24 hour Buffet of Buffets right before the buffet close at 10:00pm and get a meal then to hold you overnight; then you have all the next day to eat whenever you want.0
