new to this and have questions

So, is the goal to eat all of the allowed calories without going into the negative in another area? I just jotted down what I ate for the day and unfortunately my fat intake was in the negative but my overall calories haven't been met yet. I'm assuming that I should eat a very light supper to avoid more fat?
