ProForm 390E elliptical question

One of my resolutions for 2012 is to walk/jog/move a certain number of km before the end of the year and I want to include the distance of my elliptical workouts in the total. But the screen on my machine displays "distance" with no units so I have no idea if it's strides, feet, meters, or what. I can't find the manual and I haven't been able to find the answer using Google.

Does anybody else have a ProForm 390E and know what the distance unit is?

It's probably in miles if the machine is distributed in the US. Outside (with maybe the exception of England) it would be in kilometers.

    i always enjoy a google challenge :-)

    here's the manual: http://www.managemylife.com/mmh/lis_pdf/OWNM/L0910082.pdf

And here is what it says about distance... although I'm not sure how much it helps. Kinda confusing...
"The lower left display--This display will show the distance (total number of revolutions) that you have pedaled"

    *Edit*
I think based on this part of the manual you can determine based on what the number says what the units are... so if when you get around the "track" once you are at .25 then it is in miles...
"The right display--This display will show a track that represents 640 revolutions (1/4 mile or 400 meters), As you exercise, indicators will appear in succession around the track until the entire track appears, The track will then disappear and the indicators will again begin to appear in succession"

    Thanks a lot!

I don't think that the display shows how many times you've been around the track - at least I haven't noticed that when using the machine. I guess the best thing to do would be to divine the number of revolutions by 640 to get how many quarter miles I've gone.

... either that or just go to the gym which was better machines than mine
