This is Impossible!

I recently stepped on the scale, with much trepidation, and it informed me that i have gained 7 lbs in 11 days. I *know* that this is not possible (no way i was eating more than double my necessary calorie intake for the past week and a half) but nonethless I feel vaguely panicky about my ability to keep my eating under control. This is especially worrying to me because I am not even overweight; my BMI is 21.6. The weight that i gained represents a full 5% of my body weight. Its absurd! Also,I have been steadily gaining weight over the past year or so and I don't like what its doing to my body. I don't feel healthy. I already lead a fairly active lifestyle (walking daily, running several times a week when i am not too lazy) but when i get bored or stressed I turn to junk food. I want to break this habit before it becomes a serious issue for me, and I want my body to be healthy and strong. All this rambling is just a prelude to saying that I could really use some support and advice as I go through this process and that this community seems like a good place to find it. I look forward to making new friends and to meeting my goals. I hope I can help some others along the way too. So hi!

Most likely, it's water weight. My husband has his weigh in on Wed. mornings and put on two lbs which is just not possible. Of course, he is kicking himself, but whatever. We don't care about him right now.
I also turn to junk food for comfort and I have to stop. I have a good 60-70 lbs to lose, and I will be your friend on this journey if you'd like. If it makes you feel better, if you reverse the numbers on your BMI, that's mine-81.2. Ok not really, but my pants say otherwise right now.0 -
Don't be discouraged. Use that energy to challenge this extra weight. It is probably water weight...or the dreaded holiday gain. I added you. Be encouraged friend, you're not alone in this journey.0

What a test! Don't fret though, we are making it through the toughest months to eat healthy!!! Keep on strong, don't give up! Honestly, you could be gaining muscle or water weight. Also, don't starve yourself, your body will shut down and burn even less!
Healthy intake, healthy out!
Good luck!0 -
