I feel like I'm never going to look thin..

I have lost 36 lbs, I am 5'2" and currently weigh 131 but I feel like I've looked exactly the same for the past 12-15 lbs.
I know I look a lot different than I did at my highest weight and I think I look a lot better, but I feel like I'm getting so close to my goal (only 4 lbs away) and my stomach is still all flabby and although I am not "fat" I still am not thin at all.
I am currently trying to "tone up" and started lifting heavy but I still have a layer of fat all over and I feel that no matter how much strength training or crunches I do, and no matter how much weight I lose, I'm still going to be flabby!

If that's you in the photo I think you look amazing. I think a lot of women look better with soft curves. We need fat on our bodies. That makes it possible for us to have periods. Did you know that until we reach 10 % body fat girls can't have a period. Which is why there are so many younger girls having them so earlier b/c a lot of kids are overweight. Off topic but interesting. If you really want to tone up keep on lifting and strength training but honestly you look amazing and I don't think you should fret.

I agree, if that is you in the picture, you look great. Maybe you don't think your appearance has changed, but I bet to other people it has. We look at ourselves in the mirror every day so we don't see the change as much. I know I don't think I look different sometimes, but then I have people ask me if I am losing weight. So I must be changing. Just keep up the good work with the lifting and strength training and I think you will tone up. Good luck!

I'd say, start by toning up and lifting weights, if later on, you feel like you'd like to lose some more body fat, then think about it then. I agree with the earlier poster though, women tend to look better with some softness to them.

I'm at the same place!! I'm taller, and weigh more than you but probably have a similar composition. It's those lbs closest to the end that are the hardest to lose. It takes a shift in what you've been doing. Your body is more efficient after all the work to lose that 36lbs already. so lowering your calories will likely cause trouble--going to heavy-lifting should make a difference. Read up on the nutrition needed to maintain and build muscle, then the muscle you have and get will help get rid of the fat since you'll burn more at rest overall. Ride that out for 2 months and see how you're doing then.

Goals can be flexible. Once you hit your goal, eat at maintenance for a couple of weeks, re-evaluate. You can chose to keep losing and / or work on building muscles, whatever you want.

Op you look hot. You may not get to look MODEL thin but how does? We can only be the best version of ourselves.

    And you looking good there.

You could also post a picture of what you consider "thin"
