Calculating Calories for Breastfeeding Moms

My weight is 180, 5' tall. I'm wondering what the calorie base should be for someone with my stats that would be breastfeeding. How can this be calculated? I was looking at Weight Watchers Momentum info for breastfeeding moms. Keeping in mind 1 pt = 50 calories I figured 1,900 daily average calories. Is that a proper amount?

it depends on how old your child is and how often s/he nurses. Generally speaking, if your childs only source of food is breastmilk and they are around 6 months old it is about 500 cals. The more you give solids, then you deduct some from that number. My son is 20 months old and his calorie needs are 1000-1300 cals a day. He generally nurses about 75% of his daily food so I guess him to take about 800-900 a day... i adjust my number based upon how much he nurses that day.0

I guess it would be for full time breastfeeding.
Basically just add 300-500 calories depending how much nursing is going on?0
