    i don't think so but they are high in calories..... i was surprised to see how many compared to other fruit.

    I was surprised too ... one medium banana is like 100+ calories. But, they are good sources of potassium, something I need lots of.

    Yes and no.

    Excess calories is what make you fat. So eat enough bananas and you will get fat. But it's not just belly fat; it's also fat on your arms, legs, back, neck, face, etc, etc.

    No food can make you accumulate fat in just one particular area of your body.
