Ok I've never been good with counting calories or understanding them...
My daily allowed intake on calories is 1530
I've burned up 565 calories today from working out and my daily goal is 217
My weekly that I've already burned is 1550/ goal 650
I've never really exercised till this week..I want to make sure I'm not over eating or under eating..I'm so confused on the whole calorie thing..Can someone please explain this to me..Thanks Dana

The least amount of calories you want to eat/day is 1200. If you are allowed 1500 and you've burned 500, that means you NOW have 2000 for the day. You want to make sure that you eat at least 1700 so that you don't go below 1200. The weekly excercise calories really don't matter unless you are working up for a big outting.0

I'm always over on my exercise goals, too. I just pay attention to my daily food goal. I input my exercise and then see how many calories I have total. Then I try to hover around 1200 anyway. :happy:0

You are doing fine. :flowerforyou:
when i first started i realized i was going way over my 'burned calorie per week' goal. i re-set my workout goal to see if it would change anything and it didnt. so, i just look at it as motivation because i am doing much better than expected.
are you monitoring your calorie burn with a HRM? how do you know how many calories you are burning?
here is what i am set up as:
daily calories: 1370
burned calories: 420
total calories allowed: 1790
so, i try to eat 75-100% of my burned (excercise) calories. MFP will automaticly add in your excercise calories to your food diary. so, overeating is not likely, unless you are entering your calories wrong.0
