ok, gang...............

it is like a ghost town here in the office and i am still recovering from a nasty stomach flu (however, that definitely cancelled out christmas food indulgences) and i thought i would ask everyone for their opinions on the following situation...

my sprint upgrade is at the end of january and of course i am toying with the idea of getting an iPhone. i already have the droid evo 4g, which i love to death- but i feel like i need the iPhone...

CAN SOMEONE GIVE ME REASONS TO SWITCH FROM DROID EVO 4G to iPHONE???

Here are my pros:
-I have an iPad and i guess they would sync up somehow that could be effecient
-you can get way cuter cases for iphones (yes this is a legit reason in my mind)
-my work is slowly transitioning from blackberry to iphone, so ultimately it makes sense for work but i am really sketched out on getting rid of my own phone/phone number in this event so it is only really relevant for compatibility purposes
- ultimately i do feel that there is some level of benefit for productivity purposes if it syncs up properly with the ipad- but my ipad isnt networked, only wifi so i dont know if that makes a difference

My cons:
- i have NEVER paid for an app on my droid
- i like my droid- particularly the back button which is not on the iphone
- i am worried that this is going to turn into needing the newest iphone every six months bc there is a better OS or bugs have been worked out and i am not really into that
-the droid has a function in the contacts where you can choose "send to voicemail" for that person and i dont believe that exists on iphone and i dont know that i am really ready to part with that

I guess i am just looking to make a case for one or the other. Or do we think i should just hold on to my droid until the next iphone on sprint comes out (which will inevitably be in like 6-8months)?

If it makes any difference, i also have:
iPod Shuffle
iPod Nano
iPod 80g
Gateway Laptop
Sony Vaio Netbook
Mac Powerbook (currently dead)
PC in the office
Kindle (my boss got for me for xmas- cute)

and before anyone else says it, i know.............. #firstworldproblems.
i just want some opinions, i know this sounds incredibly ridiculous in the grand scheme of stuff.

so........... your thoughts???

Tif - my personal opinion is that I don't like Apple products - so that is of course going to skew my thoughts on this...

But - bottom line is cash... if your droid is working fine, don't buy a new phone. Iphone definitely has updates every 3 days or so (okay, so maybe I'm exaggerating a little) that force you to buy a new phone! (ha ha)

If your office is moving to Iphone, why not keep your droid on a "non-contract" line and go month to month with Sprint until you hear for sure from your office.

You obviously love your droid and are very used to many of the features. I too love my droid (Samsung Galaxy II) and wouldn't trade it for anything. I too have never paid for an app! (and will never)

But, iPhone users LOVE their phones too.

I know, not really any help here.
