I'm just wondering if anyone can answer this quesition. When you add cardio time to your exercise it deducts calories but no so for stregth exercises, am I missing something? I am pretty sure you burn calories when weight lifting too.
I've tried to figure this out on my PC, ipad and iPhone MFP apps but can't figure it out. I guess if I don't get credit and still come in under my calories, that's a good thing anyway.
Thanks,
Andy

Yeah it doesn't do that. Your best bet would be to wear a heart rate monitor and that would help you find out how many cals you burn while strength training0

Yeah, it doesn't track most strength exercises which kinda sux. I think there is a way to add them yourself, but I have never figured out how. I just log them as a note to what I did, but don't worry about trying to add in calories burned.0

You can enter in strength training as a cardio exercise and it tracks how many calories you burn
Check the database!

I do a lot of weight training and log mine under circuit training. If you wanted an accurate reading, you'd probably need to do a few calculations and wear a heart monitor while training. Not too sure on the accuracy of the circuit training, but it seems to be working for me!0

Yeah, I am not sure of the accuracy of the calorie counts on machines I use (ellipticals and stairmaster), but so far it seems to be working for me and my calculations.
Just might invest in a HRM as a lot of people seem to swear by them.0
