Need advice on exercises

I've been doing consistently well in my weight loss. So much so that my sister took notice and decided she would like to tone up and lose a little weight (I'm the overweight one, she's fine but a little exercise never hurt anybody).

She's asked me about some exercises she could do but the problem is this: I know my exercises and have them down-pat.... for a man. They focus on muscle building which I'm going to bet is NOT her goal.

So what exercises do women get into? How many sets/reps to accomplish them?

I want to give her advice on how to tone muscles but she can't necessarily bench press 20kg. I was thinking shoulder exercises with 10 sets and 10 reps?

Pilates is great for tone. I also recommend doing some of the same exercises as you but at lighter weights if she isn't interested in bulking up. I also like running or zumba. they help to tone up at burn fat at the same time.

Thanks! I'll just say she can do lower weights then. Didn't think it was too complicated - men and women are anatomically similar... aren't they? Who knows, martians and venusians... :P
