Stop doing P90x and look for a beginners strength program like Ripptoe's Starting strength or one of the 5x5 programs
figure out your TDEE and eat about 10-20% over that for lean/clean bulk, making sure you are getting in a MINIMUM of .4g of fat per lb of bodyweight and 1g of protein per lb of lbm
supplements are not needed to put on weight, but the basics like creatine, fish oil, a solid multi vitamin may be beneficial. you can add something like a protein powder if you have trouble getting in adequate protein through whole foods
And mass gainers are generally a waste of money, easy enough to make your own with a protein powder, pb, maybe some ice cream0 -

Sound advice, though personally i'd advise against 5x5 strong lifts this early in the game. Something's gonna end up snapping this early on, the tendons/joints need to be progressively readied for a program like that.
Just stick to the general rule which is to have a diet consisting of 40% protein, 40% carbs and 20% fat. Personally i'd avoid weight gainers. Get yourself on a nice 3 day split concentrating on different muscle groups each day, eat right, and the size will come.0 -
Ill be sure to get the fish oil and creatine, i already have the multivitamin..0

Everything that has been said so far is great advice. Lift heavy with low reps on working sets. Do compound lifts including dead lifts, power cleans, barbell bench press.0

the reason y i like the p90x is because you use dumbbells and pullups to build your strength, i was never into the gym and always had a problem lifting weights due to my weaker side but now im starting with my weaker side then matching it with my stronger side until i build up my weak side. then i can go heavy after that0
