Mid Back Pain While Running?

I've recently added running to my exercise routine and really want to build myself up into a runner. I am fit and can handle the cardio no problem and my legs are doing fine but my mid back is killing me. Anyone experience this and what did you do to help this? Thanks

I get pain in my mid to lower back too but I force myself to keep running ...But I am trying to make sure I do more core/back exercises to strengthen my back and I make sure I drink plenty of water before, during, and after..0

Core/back exercises are probably a good idea. If you feel it is a concern, check with your doctor though.
The only other thing I can say is the right pair of shoes may help too.0 -
It's probably your form. Shoulders forward and head forward. Run more upright and pull your shoulders back.

Thanks. I will try to be more aware and work on my core to get it stronger and hope this helps.0 -

This and strengthen your hips. I use the ChiRunning form which addresses issues with form for the purpose of efficiency.0
