Progress Pics and Looking for new friends!

I posted this on my blog - but I thought I would start out the new year by inviting friends who have similar start/current/ or goal weight as mine! Even if you don't, I could use more encouraging friends and would love to be encouraging on your journey as well!
I am very excited that for the first time in my life, my new year's resolution doesn't include "to start exercising" or "to start eating better" or any of those STARTS that we never really do start. This year, my resolution is to continue where I have left off and finish that thing I started!
When people ask me why I don't do this diet, or that diet, or this thing that works for them, all I can say in reply is, this works for me, even if it takes longer, it is something that I can stick with, I can continue to do forever because I'm not giving anything up in the first place! I am still eating the foods that I love to eat, including those days when I exceed my calories by say.... an entire days worth of calories? Yes, I do that too. But, the most important concept is that I am eating the foods I love (in moderation, most of the time) and I know when I need to take an extra 20, 30, 60 minutes to work off the excess. I am learning how to use will power when I hadn't ever been able before. I don't eat as much, and I don't NEED to eat as much as I did before. To be honest, I don't consider this a diet AT ALL. And although I use the over-used term "lifestyle change", that really is what it is. I am learning that eating healthy can be delicious, and working out can be fun! I am learning how to be a healthier, happier me! Why would I want anything other than this?
I began this change in April of this year. I have lost a little under 30lbs, with a bit of fluctuations here and there. Here is my progress.
This was me in February, eating and sitting. And this is in October, right after my second 5k.
And this is my transformation, from Christmas of last year to this Christmas. Proof that what I am doing, DOES work for me!
Now, I want to ask you, what are YOU going to do this year to continue on your own goals?? Good luck, I wish you all the best in 2012! -Hannah-

AMEN TO THAT!! I never thought about it like that, but yeah . . . I don't need a resolution to start losing weight -- I already started. And now I resolve to finish it! You look awesome, by the way, and I'm sending you a friend request. )0

Even though it's a 9lb loss, by the looks of it has made a huge difference! How much body fat % did you lose?! You look great!
I would like to get down to a certain weight, but if I reach my body fat % goal first, I'm fine with that That's awesome you got into running too. I use to run a lot but a knee injury has prohibited me from doing that (I didn't get it from running). I loved it and I haven't found another sport or exercise that I love more than running.
You probably wouldn't like my food diary, I eat like a rabbit LOL!!0 -
You're looking AWESOME! Keep up the great work! It is so worth it, and you're going at it the right way.
So proud of you!0 -
Awesome!! You look great! You can add me, if you'd like. Sounds like we have similar goals.( I'd like to be able to run any distance someday--I only do intervals now), but I'm focusing first on strength training, adding muscle and losing fat in the new year. I need to change my ticker, because I'm no longer sure it applies to my goals! I want to see how fit I can be, not how light!0
