feeling sick after weight training?

So this may sound kind of weird but here goes...
Today when I got to gym I felt fine, did a quick 5 minute warmup and then did a 30 minute training session with a new PT. Usually after that I do 15-30 minutes on the eliptical or walking fast uphill on the treadmill and then go to Zumba. But today, after doing the weight training I felt super sick to my stomach and got a wicked headache.
I waited it out at the gym until my Zumba class started and finally after about 45 minutes I started to feel better. Does anyone know any reason I would have felt so sick after only 30 minutes weight training?
I have been working out doing weight training, elyptical/treadmill, Zumba in that order 3 days a week fr about a month nowand have never had this happen.

Maybe you did not have enough fluids today or maybe you are getting sick anyways or fighting something that's going around in your area and you just don't know it yet.0

Did you eat before you went to the gym, specifically protein? Your blood sugar might have dropped, however it wouldn't have come back up without eating something (or at least mine wouldn't have). Could be a number of things. If it happens again note what you ate, drank before you went to the gym.0

ya, that was one of the things I wondered. I ate lunch [salad and sandwich] about 3 hours prior to my workout. It's probably just a fluke thing but it was weird and I didn't know if it has happened to others.
Thanks so much for your help.0 -
3 hours is too long to go without eating before a workout. Try a banana (carb for energy) and a cheese stick (protein to keep your blood sugar level) before you work out or at least keep them in your car if that happens again. By the way I do Zumba too. Great and fun workout!!!0

I have to agree with mickie. YOu should eat about an hour before your workout and drink some water.0

thanks i wll try that in the future... Zumba is definitey my favorite although my trainer/the girl who has been teaching it left [hoping she comes back] and the new girl is not nearly as fun/good as she was...I am hoping she gets better though0

Several things can cause this. Low blood sugar from not having enough fuel in your system. (i.e. Morning workout.....12 hours since your last meal....low energy.) Even motion sickness, according to my trainer, like doing crunches and sit ups. Also, oxygen desaturating during exercise. ( not getting enough oxygen.)0
