So I started MFP Nov 28th ish. I have been logging eeverything I eat or drink since (skipped a few days due to holidays but other than that I've been good) I initially lost 5lbs in about 2 weeks and then gained one back the next week. Since then, I haven't lost anything. I have been keeping my net around 1400 calories, some days I go over a little, some days are super low (like 4-500 below). I try not to 'deprive' myself of anything, I eat what I want just try to order smaller portion sizes and have been attempting to get healthier choices in my diet but the holidays and family have made this difficult. Does anyone have any suggestions that could help me. I'm not really sure why I haven't lost anything more and I have been working out so much more than I did in the past.
I think My diary is Private but I'll play with it for a minute to make it not if need to see it to help..
Thanks so much

Hi Annie, maybe you're not eating enough and your body is in starvation mode? Eating less than 1000 cals doesnt sound healthy, maybe try to stick closer to 1400 a day? good luck!0

^^This and are you exercising? Build some lean muscle. The more muscle you have, the more calories you will burn (even at rest). Good luck!0 -
You eat entirely too much junk food. Are you trying to get healthy, or just cut back on the amount of junk food you eat to attempt to lose weight?0

I eat between 1200 and 1900 typically, the net 1400 or below is from working out, I do eat more on days I work out but normally dont eat them all back. You eat entirely too much junk food. Are you trying to get healthy, or just cut back on the amount of junk food you eat to attempt to lose weight?
Both actually, This week has been really bad because of the holidays and lack of grocery shopping (seriously I have milk in my fridge and frozen beef.) but I have at least attempted to cut back what I eat (before, a large meal from McD's vs now smaller portions and fresco menu from Taco bell) and drink water before each meal (which only seems to make me hungrier.. IDK)0 -
My answer is simple. TOO MUCH SODIUM and LACK OF ADEQUATE WATER.0

Make healthier choices if you are going to eat out. Instead of the jimmy dean sandwhiches why not mc donalds oatmeal or egg mc muffin? Instead of burgers and fries.... how about a salad with grilled chicken & light dressing?
I eat take out also but its not everyday and i usually try to make the best choices. If i eat from chic fil a i usually get the 8 count chicken nuggets a medium fruit cup and a bottle of water. Skip the fries and the soda. I think the takeout is sabotaging your weight loss.0 -

THIS ^^^^^^^
Going to give you some tough love here - you need to start eating whole foods. More fruits, veggies and grains from fresh produce and ingredients. The sodium you're taking in is going to keep you from losing weight. Start logging things consistently and making better choices and YOU WILL SEE RESULTS.0
