My name is Cheryl. I didn't have a problem with weight until I reached my 40's. I am 5'8 and weight 223. I would really like to weigh around 175lbs. I hope this forum will help me.

I'm Debbie, 46 years old, 5'9" and as of today, 183 pounds. :ohwell: The holidays did some damage. Yeah, I'm gonna blame the holidays because I didn't do it, right? :laugh:

43 here with the same challenge. Feel free to add me. You can do it. Tracking your calories, exercising, and the support and encouragement you get really help, 10 lbs in a little over a month.0

Hi Cheryl! Feel free to add me. I am 46 and this is my first week to use MFP. So far, I love it. I am amazed with each meal I log to see where I am spending my calories and I do better each day. My goal is to lose 121 pounds. It's funny to find myself spending more time on MFP than on Facebook. The people here are very supportive!0

I'm not one to post... but saw your heading "46" I too am also 46 and thought that I wouldn't be able to lose the weight. I did... now after the holidays I need to do some damage control. YOU can do it. It takes calorie control and EXERCISE. I kept my calories at 1600 or below and worked out 4-5 days a week in my home on the elliptical. Going to get on that thing today for the first time in at least a month or two. The holidays really got me. Good luck and add me if you want or need some help or just someone to talk to0 -

Me too, Me too! Add me as a MFP. I'm 46 and trying to loose 50lbs by the end of April, that's when I get to go home. Together we all can do this. I just love the site. I find myself on it all the time now. I look forward in seeing how everyone is doing on their goals.

I'm 57 and started here in mid-August. I've lost about 20 lbs (since before my start here......as my ticker only says 12
Logging and charting your food and exercise WORKS!!! I was a total disbeliever before my journey here, and I haven't changed MUCH of my lifestyle.........but the awareness of what you're eating and doing is a GREAT motivator to stay within those boundaries! It's a challenge...and one that YOU CAN DO!
I wish you much success - stick around, make friends, and KEEP GOING - even when you have down days. It will make a difference, trust me!0
