Looking for buddies, need a kick in the pants!

I'm in the final year of my masters and most of my friends have left the area so no one to give me a reality check with my weight or lack of exercise.
I need people who will encourage and push me to my goals and support me over the bad days
I'm good at motivating others but not so great for myself!
I work part-time in a restaurant which means unsociable hours and ready access to food! Some of it good, most of it not! And after a long night shift feeling hungry when I get home and tired which makes driving past a fast food place a recipe for disaster; I'm then 'too tired' to exercise the next day and it's time to hit my desk for college work......so therefore I need someone to tell me to cop on in no uncertain terms
I windsurf and dive and had just started kayaking last autumn but it really made me realise how unfit I am! I can coast with the windsurfing much better than with kayaking, you had to keep going on the river but can give up when tired with the windsurfing.
Any recommendations for effective and quick workouts that I might be able to do at home would also be great!
Thanks in advance and best wishes to all for 2012
