Running 1000 miles in 2012!

Hey everyone! I'm a fairly new runner who has recently fallen in love with it (oh god how did I become one of those people?). In the year 2012 I plan on trying to run 1000 miles! This averages out to be approximately 2.74 miles a day, which is less than I usually run but if I want to work in a rest day I'll be running a little more of course.
