Motivation Help for Others

Hi All,
I belong to a weight loss group and I want to get everyone pumped for 2012. We weigh in each week on Mondays and am trying to come up with something different to make people think about weight loss more than just that one day we weigh in. So I was thinking about taking each person's photo when they come in to weigh on Monday. Then the next Monday giving them a sharpie and having them write their weight on their picture and attach a magnet to the photo and they can put it on their fridge to see everyday and then in say 3 months take another picture to compare and see if they are on track, struggling or way off track. Thought it would be fun to do this for the whole year and hopefully see their progress. Anyone have any other suggestions to make this project more fun? I thought about doing something funny like making a ball and chain and having them stand by it in Jan. and then they can write their weight on the ball the next week and then do something different in April, July, October and then the last of December....maybe holiday related. Any ideas?
