This year has been tough for me: getting adjusted to a new job and work environment, being diagnosed hypothyroid and getting on track with my health and being busy. Unfortunately this new working from home gig means I gained 10 pounds!
Other than being hypothyroid, my health is pretty good so my motivations are mainly long term health and regaining the fitness and strength I have lost over the past several months.
So to get one track, and start the year off right, by prioritizing myself, I have decided to do the Whole Living clean eating action plan.

If you don't read the details, the basic premise is: no processed food, dairy, added sugar or red meat. The first week is fruit, veggies and plant oils. Week 2 adds seafood, legumes, organic soy. Week 3 adds eggs and gluten free grains. Week 4 adds whole grains with gluten and lean chicken or beef. There are lots of recipes focused on whole foods.
I thought this would be a good way to wean myself off the holiday treats, start the year of right and learn a few new ways to incorporate more veggies. I hope to go all in with a fre modifications for things I don't like for most of January, except for a weekend with a vacation planned. I'll probably give in to gluten and meat.
Anyone else doing this or something similar?
