Who's cheat days get this bad? Please tell me I'm not the only one.
Okay I had some friends come and stay the weekend, and I know they love to eat. So when I got up Saturday morning I had milk with Carnation Instant breakfast and a hand full of almonds for a snack, because I knew it would pretty much be the only healthy thing I had all day. Oh yeah I forgot to mention that my friend brought 3 boxes of donuts and I didn't have a single one. For lunch we had Taco's, well actually I had a plate with lettuce, Dorito's, taco meat, cheese, salsa and sour cream. Then I was too full to eat until supper, for supper we had homemade brauts on white buns, and margarita's Then we went to the Good Rich and had waffle cones with Ice cream.
I'm not going to weigh myself until next Friday, because I know I'm going to be bloated from all the salt until then. The really sad thing is I know there are people out there who eat like this almost everyday, I didn't feel too bad until I started to list it and realized that it was close to 3000 calories. Thats more than I'm alowed in two days.

That is honestly that all that bad and it looked like you made good decisions in not eating the donuts and then not really eating in between your meals.
I think for anyone who is able to jump right back on the wagon after falling off should be proud of themselves. You haven't mentally checked yourself out of your healthy living...
If you feel really guilty, just up the ante a bit and work out 20 mins longer each day until your weigh-in.
I think you did just fine. Life would be boring if we didnt have those times when friends came over and we all let loose for a change.
you're doing great.0 -
I've had worse 'cheat days' but as Cowboy would call them... 'reward days' than that.
You enjoyed yourself... it was your reward day.
Just get your butt in gear and get yourself ready for your next weigh-in.

It takes 48 hours for your body to "switch gears"....... if you make immediate effort and get right back on the wagon you will not suffer any damage. And congrats for having a great time with your friends. Don't feel guilty about it. Just realize that it can't be an everyday thing.

Yesterday I ate nearly a thousand calories over my recommended ones (Sheesh!), but today I snowshoed for an hour and a half and went horseback riding...worked off 1145 calories...so I think It was a wash....hey, we all get to let loose a bit sometimes. Today I was back on the wagon and it'll all be okay. Yours will too. Life isn't always going to fit into our "plans", so we get to make those choices sometimes. The important thing is to keep on keeping on. You can do it! We all can.

Do not worry about it, we all have those days, I also had one yesterday. But today is a new one and I know that I am back on track.
Be happy that you enjoyed the time with your friends.

Hey, that's not so bad! I have had some pretty bad ones myself. Just one trip to MacDonald's will screw up everything LOL (I know I know but the guilt will kill you afterwards).
My last three time I caved in:
Yesterday - nacho's n'cheese, two chocolate bars. I can only justify by saying that I was really excited to watch Amazing race LOL. I think while I ate it, I burned off the calories by jumping off the couch and standing rocking side to side
A couple of weeks ago it was MacDonalds. It was a girls nite out with my daughter and I threw caution to the wind and ordered a sandwich, fries, sweet and sour sauce to dunk the fries, diet coke (of course, don't need the extra calories right? LOL) and a pie and a large caramel sundae. I ate two days worth of calories that day and the fat? Holy cow. That was almost a weeks worth I am sure. But I am not to worried about it because I eat sensibly every other day.
My philosophy is eat what you enjoy when you need to just make sure you don't have the guilt afterwards. And besides, if you do have guilt, you can always walk around the block six dozen times
