Hey Bev, this is Pete and I just started on the 13th of December. I started at 246.8 and this morning on Jan 1, I'm down to 234.8. 12 pounds in 19 days. Key is to always stay beneath your target calories and get exercise. If u have an apple I phone or iPad, download the app bcuz it has a scanner that helps track calories of products by barcode. If not, u will build up a database of products as you enter the information.

I started using a measuring cup to measure portions and eating weight watchers smart choice frozen dinners ($2.18-2.58 @ Kroger); their pasta dishes are great. Also, any exercise is bonus, but don't use the extra calories gained...it takes 3500 calorie deficit to lose a pound.

U can weigh yourself every day, but better to do it once a week on the same day in the morning. Daily weighing fluctuates because of water weight and muscle gains.

Good luck, let us know how it's going. Happy new year!
