I know everyone is different however I would like to know if their are any joggers or runners in the 220lb range *women* I really want to start jogging and turning that into a run by the end of summer. ...Treadmill or outdoors....Its ice and snow here now but I am contemplating trying a jog on my treadmill.....Thks:drinker:

  • I'm glad you posted this, because I've been wondering the same thing. I'm about 235 and really want to try to work some jogging into my routine but I worry if that's too much weight for my knees, etc. I hope you get some good replies!

The way see it is if it hurts don't push it, go slower. I am 260, have had 7 knee surgurys. I do intervals just like on the Biggest Loser, some of them are much heavier. I jog 3min walk 3 min, I started at 30 sec. intervals.....just move it move it!!

    Hey Mya,

I think Osmium from NZ on our Bring IT thread weighs around what you do and is doing the Couch 2 5K program. I took a quick look at it last night and I think I might try it as well, though I'm feeling like I can run a bit longer these days. If you do a search on it, it'll give you a 2 month plan to get yourself jogging in no time.

And you might even be more advanced since you haven't been on the couch in 2 months:wink: .
