Tabata Protocol?

Hi! Has anyone heard of the tabata protocol? it's basically a VERY short and intense HIIT workout that is supposed to be excellent for increasing cardio endurance and lowering body fat.
since i am only trying to lose the last ten, i thought perhaps doing this kind of workout 3x week, with weights, + 2 longer, moderate jogs might change things up a bit - b/c i dont have much to lose?
what do you think - thought Banks might have some words of wisdom!
