I am never sure about these items.

Does carbonated water count as water? I love fizzy drinks and to keep away from things like cola - even no sugar varieties - I prefer to drink carbonated water with squash.

A work colleague of mine did a degree in Sports Science and said water with squash is actually better because water practically passes right through you, whereas water with no sugar squash is absorbed into the the body better.

And surely water with 'air' added to it is no different from regular tap/still water from a bottle?

By the way, the fizzy water I drink is bottled, I don't use a soda stream or anything.

Anyone know anything definite?

ANYTHING you drink counts as "water" for hydration purposes. Your body doesn't care what the source is, it just knows it's getting water molecules.

I don't see why it wouldn't count as water.
I dont really like plain water so use no added sugar squash and count this as my water intake. The calories per serving are so low.
