I know I have seen the answer to this before, but I just picked up 30 day Shred and wondered how many calories I would burn doing level 1.

Log it as 25 minutes of circuit training.

I burned about 350 for the level 1. How is it working for you? I'm on day 4. :) Good luck!!

  • I only burn about 200 - but it is different every day. I have a heart rate monitor and some days it's 190, some days 230.. depends on my energy, effort, how I'm feeling, etc...

Small hand weights (I use 5 pounds) and if you're working out on a hard floor, a yoga mat.

It really depends on your own weight and the intensity of the workout. The more you weight, the more you will burn calorie wise. The most I burned was about 210 calories. It's a great workout and I saw positive changes, especially in my waist line and hips. I suggest you get a Heart Rate Monitor (HRM). This is what I used to calculate the calorie burn for me. Good luck :)

I logged the 30 DS the old school way: itemized each excercise and its' reps! Of course I didn't sit there and count out everything...I found a website that did (lol)! Here's the link: http://tracker.dailyburn.com/workout_programs/134608-Jillian-Michaels-30-Day-Shred. I think I may do as the previous posts have suggested and just log it as circuit training. Day 11, Level 2---whoop, whoop and an ouch!
