ive noticed that since i first got my heart rate monitor ( about 2 or so months ago when i got serious about exercising regularly)
my resting heart rate has gone down
when i first got it and was setting it up it was around 76, its now around 64
is it normal for it to go down?
(ive also lost about 10 kilos)

Yes, it's normal as your heart gets healthier that your beats per minute go down. Your heart is a muscle that has to pump hard to force blood around your body. The weaker your heart is, the more it has to pump faster to get the same force going to push the blood through your body. When you workout, and your heart gets stronger, it can push the blood further and harder through the body without as much effort and with less pumps (beats), and therefore your heart rate goes down. From what I understand professional athletes in really good cardio shape might have heart rates in the 40's. So rock that healthy heart!
