I am fairly new to using a HRM. It seems to work well and all but I was just curious on others' input about their experiences with HRMs. Have they always given you the most accurate calorie count? Ever had one that said you were burning way more/ way less then what you actually were?
My biggest thing is my HRM says I'm burning way more then what MFP says and I don't want to over-eat and all that thinking I am burning more then what I am.
I was doing really good with the weight loss and then fell off, now I am getting back on and don't want to set myself up for failure!
Thanks!!!!!

I think it depends on the model, as well as how accurate the estimate of your Max HR is. IF the HRM is properly set up, it's as accurate as you can easily measure.
Here's a great blog post about HRM's.: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/Azdak/view/the-real-facts-about-hrms-and-calories-what-you-need-to-know-before-purchasing-an-hrm-or-using-one-214720 -
