Hi everyone,
I'm having the surgery in October, it is a long time away yet, and I am so ucomfortable with the weight I am at now. I'd like to lose another 5-10kg. I had a break from MFP while changing a routine at work.

If you're having the surgery in October why not try to lose all the weight you need to lose before then? (from your profile it says 24kg) I lost that in six months. You're smaller than me so it might take longer but hey you'd be at a healthy weight and still be able to eat normally!0

Why does the double posting keep happening?0

Trust me I know how you feel. I've been trying to lose weight since I was 11 years old. I'm now 28, I know more than anyone how damn hard it is. This is the first time it's EVER 'stuck'
I also know that unless you've got a serious medical issue that lap band should not be an option. I've watched family friends die from it. Is weight loss easy? Hell no, but neither is lap band and it changes your life in such a drastic way and the statistics on people putting it back on are heartbreaking.
You don't have to say how much you weigh now, but you honestly look like you weigh less than I do currently. I have PCOS that makes it more difficult to lose weight but I can still do. There are people on here who have lost weight with screwed up thyroid's. It can be done.
And thank you0 -
I had struggled with my weight all my life to lose, finally due to infertility, I decieded to have lapband surgery in '07, I lost about 40lbs quickly. It slipped and I gained back 30lbs, and had to have it redone in 2010. I haven't really lost anymore, but I haven't gained either. I could get more saline, but I already have some trouble eating and I am affraid I will not get all my nutrients. Don't get me wrong I would probly do it again, but it is a tool to help, not a cure. I am now back to where I should have been in the first place having to work it off. lol0
