Hi! I joined MFP more for the healthier outlook than weight loss. To be honest, I don't own a set of scales, so don't know how much I currently weigh! I do know I put on a stone when I joined the ambulance service 9 years ago and about another half when I went travelling last year. I have a check up on Wednesday with the nurse so I'll get an accurate weight then! I'm guessing 10 stone.

What I have noticed is my trousers being a little tighter recently and my fitness level dropping a bit. I'm expected to be reasonably fit in the job I do and I am strong for my size as I have to carry people down stairs, however this is always very short bursts of high energy work. I can't run to save my life!

So, I'm hoping that with a bit of motivation and making use of the tools and advice from others on here, I can lose a few inches and improve my overall health.
