Well, when I say recently I really haven't used in two years, but I suppose I have been substituting food to keep me sane. I really wasn't using any kind of recovery program or counseling. Now I am in a recovery program and working on staying sober. And now that I am being emotionally healthy I feel enormously unhealthy physically. Stepped on the scale for the first time in several months yesterday and was shocked (well ok, not so very shocked) to see 240 lbs on there. I have never been this large in my life. I need to change quite a few things.
Are there others out there who are struggling with quitting substances and dieting at the same time?
