Please can anybody recommend a fitness DVD. Ive heard of the Shred ones and Ripped in 30 and was wondering which to begin with and also whether or not they are suitable for a beginner and if available to buy in England or only online. I like a fairly fast paced exercise and dont enjoy yoga or pilates. I havent used a fitness DVD for years so Im a little out of touch with what is currently available. I usually go running once a week but not done much for the past month. Im so determined to lose weight this time around...Thanks everybody!!

  • I just got the 30 Day Shred and I'm about to go try it out. My husband also just got me a lot of Zumba videos so I'll add you and update you on what I like best after I've given them a good try!

I did 30DS when I started here. It's a workout no doubt. But you can do lower impact and adapt as you need to start. I know I did. But at the end of 30 days I went back and did Day 1 Level 1 and was amazed at how far I had come. Start with low weights. Those workouts don't look like much...but you will feel them.

I use podcasts and youtube, and am planning to use this as a boot camp to kickstart a fitness regime for 2012:

Thanks everyone...still intrigued by the 30 day shred one but there are so many others about its hard to make a choice!! It would just be nice to have a few different ones and I really need something intense and fast paced...thanks again!

Just because 30DS is meant for a month doesn't mean you have to. There are some cheap DVDs out there...mix them up if you want! What matters is the numbers you work off, not keeping to a schedule.
