Me and my best friend a month ago started going to Aqua fit. Now I know when i think about aqua fit , i think of little old ladies. Well that was sure changed when I started going. I met plenty of younger woman some a lil older and look amazing do to aqua fit. So i am pretty happy with my choice. I was just wondering when is a good time to start branching out in to other aspects of fitness and the best ways to go about it?

thank you :)

I joined my local gym at the end of August for the classes really..not the gym ( hate that!) and did aqua at least twice a week. I then moved on to spinning - which I have to admit nearly killed me the first time but I ab love it now and really feel like its of benefit. The aqua isn't as appealing when it's cold so I thought I might try legs bums and tums next week.....but will def go back to aqua fit soon.

I was JUST looking at my local gym's aquatic fitness schedule. I've been wanting to join this gym for their awesome classes. I would love do the aqua fit but not so much having to put a suit on!
  • i wear a one piece with shorts and a t-shirt lol so i am in the same boat lol

I do 2-3 aqua fit sessions a week, plus swimming.

With fibromaylgia and being very obese still it's a great cardio workout without the excess stress on my joints. I'm toning all over but at a much gentler pace, so I don't wake up the next day feeling like I've hit a brick wall at 80mph, which I often feel like after a visit to the gym!

I would advise a one piece suit though, a two piece could cause a few 'exposure' problems  I'm struggling at the moment to find a swimsuit with a sports back in my size - my straps often slide off my shoulders during the workout, so I've improvised by tying the straps across my back with a ribbon!
