I wasn't expecting it, but I seem to be lacking motivation after the Christmas season (in which I was reasonable, but ate what I wanted- I maintained)...I have some oomph left in my I guess, but there is something lacking. I'm not even sure what I am asking for, actually...motivation? friends? I have no clue :o

  • I know, I feel a bit flat too,

Flat is the perfect word to describe it! Flat. It isn't that I no longer want to lose the weight, and gain my health back, because I do. Just, something is off. Who knows. I am sure that some of you MUST have hit this at some point (I am now in month 5), and maybe some of you will have something for me :)

Ohhh My Gosh!! Me too its really really hard to overcome! I feel like I am in a whole and can't get out :frown:
  • Hey, I understand. My problem is commitment. I have been doing this for several weeks now and have sort of half committed. I have lost 5 lbs. Gained back 1 is all over the holidays. Which my nutritionist would commend me for. Like she says, you are doing good. Maintaining shows that you have made some lifestyle changes. GOOD JOB! Like me, you might want to recommit to you plan to follow you food and exercise plan. GOOD LUCK THIS WEEK.

You aren't alone! I'm not sliding back into my old habits or anything drastic but I feel like the 'sparkle & excitement' has faded. I still went to the gym today, making good eating choices, drinking my water etc but it doesn't feel the same! When I saw the 'logged in for 85 days' this morning I almost felt like "who cares" instead of "way to go" I'm hoping it is just because of the holidays and I will be feeling excited about my journey again! I'm kinda glad that at least I haven't headed for the chocolates
  • Interesting to see others feel the same way. I was assuming that I would be back raring to go, even more excited to see how far I could get this year!

I know exactly what you mean, and you just need to keep coming here every day, checking in with your friends and looking around at how others are doing. Don't worry, your motivation will come back, it's like a roller coaster ride, you have your ups and downs but as long as you keep getting on the ride, it will work out.

I can relate to this. I first lost 53 pounds, then decided to do it without logging. Over the course of 3 years I gained 20 pounds. The final year I kept trying to get back on track but couldn't. I knew my plan backwards and forwards, I just couldn't make myself follow through! I even enlisted a friend as an incentive - she lost 25 pounds and I gained 5.

My sister directed me to www.fatloser.com. Steve Siebold is a motivational speaker. He got fat and made up a program for himself and to help others. You pick your own "diet" and exercise plan, he said the magic words that motivated me! Now just 4 pounds left til I reach my goal! Google it and him and see if it is for you. You don't have to pay anything or get endlessly bugged. You just sign up for 30 days of pep talks that you click on at your convenience. It really worked for me.

Good luck to you and Happy New Year!

I have been logging and coming every day for 120 days and I have only lost 15 pounds!!! Also. my calorie limit is 1000 . Doctors orders. f I can do it, you can. I was all alone during the holidays so eating was not a problem.
