The great caloric debat! Its so confusing because everything contradicts eveything. I know you shouldn't go below 1200 calories, but I am starting the Insanity program, and accroding to their equation, I should be eating around 2300 calories.... that is so much food! That is 1000 more than what I normally shoot for. And with fat equalling 3500 calories, wouldnt that mean I would GAIN a pound ever half week?

What does everyone else usually take in each day? Is anyone doing insanity as well?

oh and I am 5'4, 180lb female in my 20's

I couldn't tell you the overall caloric goal you should hit. However, that being said, experimenting is the best. Once you nail down a caloric load that maintains weight the next step would be to find the optimal macronutrient composition in which fits that caloric load. From there you can add to or subtract from given your weightgain/loss needs.

    Hope this helps.
