Hi anyone know the way to skinnyville

Hi there I am a forty year old male and about 5 ft 8 in tall weighing around 270lb. It started to dawn on me that I am way out of shape and if I do not do something about that it would kill me. So I got a recumbent exercise bike, biggest loser cookbook, and a my fitness pal account. So off I go along my journey of losing all this weight. The goal is to get down to 200-210. I used to think that I could lose weight any time I wanted to and did not care how much I put on. That was naive at best. Actually I think it is just plain stupid and irresponsible looking at it now. So here I go and along the way I am going to need some advice, encouragement, and called out if I get lazy. I hope that I can get a little of that here. Thanks.
